Benchmark Assisted Living Promotes Alison Carnduff to Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management & Investments Boston – (December 21, 2006) – Benchmark Assisted Living today announced the promotion of Alison Carnduff to senior vice president of portfolio management and investments. In this capacity, Alison will play a lead role in Benchmark’s investment activities including investor relations, acquisitions and development initiatives. Carnduff previously held the position of vice president of portfolio management. She is a resident of Watertown, Mass. Carnduff began her career with Benchmark at its founding in 1997 and has been instrumental in the growth of the company from a limited number of properties to now being the largest assisting living provider in New England. Carnduff played an important role in the significant acquisitions of the Village Retirement, Athena Communities, and Atrium properties. She has also been key in the recapitalization of several of the company’s portfolios. In her new position, Carnduff will report directly to Benchmark president Fred N. Pratt. Prior to joining Benchmark, Alison was the CEO of Keen Development Corporation, a real estate firm specializing in historic reuse. “Alison is a valuable asset to Benchmark and is highly regarded by her colleagues here as well as by our investment partners,” said CEO Thomas H.
