Innovative Program
for those with Mild Memory Loss

Ridgefield CT -- Ridgefield Crossings assisted living community has launched a new, innovative program for those facing Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss. The Lighthouse Club serves as a beacon for seniors are beginning to experience mild memory impairment. As a highly personalized program, The Lighthouse Club, helps residents remain active, engaged and stimulated.
Developed in collaboration with memory impairment specialists, The Lighthouse Club starts every morning after breakfast and concludes at dinnertime. Residents enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day and they receive the personal attention they need to live well and with dignity.
The Lighthouse Club programs features: engaging and stimulating recreation, exercise, outings and entertainment; personalized service plans; specially trained staff; and access and coordination to the Memory Center cognitive retraining program. Participants in the program also enjoy the same services and amenities as all of Ridgefield Crossings residents including dining, transportation, housekeeping, laundry and more.
The program participants enjoy a safe, engaging atmosphere, allowing freedom, mobility, choice and independence. “We’re thrilled to offer this new program here at Ridgefield Crossings. Our goal is to always promote self esteem and a sense of accomplishment for our residents with memory loss. Now, this program The Lighthouse Club allows our residents with mild dementia to reconnect to their world,” stated Celina Watson, executive director of Ridgefield Crossings.
